The Lions next season will play their first Monday Night Football game for the first time since 2001, FoxSportsDetroit.com reported.
The schedule is expected to officially be released Tuesday evening, but citing unnamed NFL sources, FoxSportsDetroit.com reported that the Lions will host the Bears at Ford Field on Monday, Oct. 10.

The Lions last played on Monday Oct. 8, 2001, falling to the Rams 35-0 at the Pontiac Silverdome.
